The “Perfect” Consultant is Dead.
Why I’m coming back after 7 years.
Seven years ago, my world stopped.
I lost my 15 year old son Sam, suddenly and unexpectantly. In an instant, the “perfect” career I had been building - the endless projects I had been chasing while missing precious time with my boys - became completely meaningless. I shut down, closed up shop. I had to.
I spent those years in the quiet, realizing I had been caught in a trap. I was chasing milestones that didn’t matter while the things that did were slipping through my fingers.
I’m coming back now because I have spent 7 years learning what actually matters. I’m done with the “busy work” and the corporate noise. If I’m going to work, it has to be different. It has to be focused, it has to be high-impact, and it has to leave room for the life that I now know is so incredibly fragile.
This is why I’m a Reformed Consultant. I’m not here to play the old games. I’m here to help you find the straightest, most meaningful line to the results that matter.
The Manifesto
Impact Over Activity: We don’t bill for time; we bill for value. If a 20-minute conversation saves you $50k, that’s a win-not an 8 hour spreadsheet.
Radical Clarity: No more corporate speak. If we can’t explain the strategy simply, we don’t understand it well enough yet.
Outcomes Over Outputs: A 50 page slide deck is a paperweight. A clear, actionable roadmap is a weapon.
Diagnostics First: We find the “revenue leaks” before we plug them. Prescribing a solution without a full audit is a waste of everyone’s time.
Human Connection: Strategy is personal. IF it doesn’t work for the people running the business, it doesn’t work at all.
NO Fluff: We cut the filler. We get straight to the bottleneck and stay there until it’s cleared.
The Long Game: We build systems that survive long after we, the consultants, leave the room.
I’m doing this in Sam’s honour. I’m doing it with the perspective that only his life could have given me.
